Earthquaker Devices Organizer Polyphonic Organ Emulator

The Earthquaker Devices Organizer is a great pedal for guitarists who want to add some organ-like tones to their sound.

The pedal retails for $199 new. It can be picked up for about $100 used on REVERB.COM.

Now if you, like me, set all the controls to noon when first trying a pedal then you will first want to understand the controls on this pedal. Most notably the “Lag” knob. If you set it at noon you might think that this thing doesn’t track correctly. But that is what the Lag knob does: it controls the delay of the wet signal of the pedal. Full counterclockwise is minimal delay. The delay time increases as it rotates clockwise.

The Earthquaker Devices Organizer is a pretty straight forward pedal. However, as with all Earthquaker pedals, I’d recommend checking out the Operation Manual and/or the suggested settings on their website. While the organizer doesn’t have any “hidden” functions, like the Avalance Run pedal, the suggested settings will provide a good overview of the possibilities and useful sounds that the pedal has available.

Here’s one possibility they provide:

Earthquaker Devices Organizer Bass Setting

This setting is labeled “1967 Bass.” It could be handy for a recording guitarist that doesn’t own a bass.

Of course the pedal does a “church organ” sound as well. The “choir” knob adds 2 octaves higher and 2 octaves lower when the Up and Down knobs are in use.

If you want to check out how the other settings sound then watch the video below that I made using the suggested settings on Earthquaker Devices website.
